01 · Treatments and prices
What it all costs.
Eight treatments, grouped the way we think about them, not alphabetised. Every price is a range you can read before you ring, and the fixed length you book is the length you are treated for.
02 · The difference
True, not relaxed.
A stressed body does not creep out of position all at once. It drifts, the same way a wall goes out of plumb: an inch a year, until the shoulders are somewhere they were never meant to live.
Plumb Line does not offer a relaxation massage, and we say so plainly rather than let a first-time client assume it. Every session starts with a posture and mobility check, moves into targeted work matched to what is actually sore, and finishes with a recheck so you can feel the change before you sit up.
Naomi kept a plumb bob on the trolley in her first year, the kind a builder uses to check a wall is true, and held the string against a client's shoulder in the mirror so they could see for themselves how far they had drifted. It still sits on the trolley. The idea behind it, that a body has a true position and a good remedial massage is mostly about finding the way back to it, never left.
03 · How a session runs
Six steps, in the film's own order.
Posture check, warm towel, oil, targeted work, stretch, recheck. The same order for a thirty-minute session and a ninety-minute one, just more time inside step four.
01 / Posture check
You show us where you actually are
02 / Warm towel
A warm towel before anything else
03 / Oil
The house blend, warmed first
04 / Targeted work
Pressure that meets your body
05 / Stretch
A guided stretch through the range just opened
06 / Recheck
The recheck, before you sit up
-
01 / Posture check
You show us where you actually are
Standing, against the same idea as the plumb bob on the trolley: where your shoulders are sitting against where they would sit if nothing was pulling on them. It shapes the plan for the whole session.
-
02 / Warm towel
A warm towel before anything else
Over the area we are about to work, while we agree the pressure and the focus for the day. Nothing about the first few minutes is rushed.
-
03 / Oil
The house blend, warmed first
A plain, unscented oil from a freshly capped bottle, every client, every session. Warmed in the hand before it touches you, never straight from the bottle.
-
04 / Targeted work
Pressure that meets your body
The bulk of the booked time, matched to the specific complaint rather than a fixed routine run the same regardless of what walked in. We check pressure again partway through.
-
05 / Stretch
A guided stretch through the range just opened
Ten to fifteen minutes, passive and led, so the range holds rather than tightening straight back over the drive home. One stretch is shown for you to repeat between visits.
-
06 / Recheck
The recheck, before you sit up
The same standing check from the start of the session, so you can feel the change while it is still fresh. A note goes on your file for whoever treats you next time.
04 · Health fund rebates
HICAPS, on the spot.
Bring your private health fund card to the appointment. Dean runs it through the HICAPS terminal at the desk once you have paid, the claim goes to your fund electronically, and the rebate your policy allows is refunded to the same card within a few business days. You are never asked to submit a paper claim yourself.
We cannot tell you the dollar figure your policy will refund, because that is set by your fund and your level of extras cover, not by us. What we can tell you is that the claim is lodged before you leave the building, every time, for every private health extras policy that includes remedial massage.
Check with your fund
- Your annual extras limit for remedial massage
- Whether a referral is required (most policies do not need one)
- Your remaining limit for this benefit year
05 · The numbers
The numbers.
Rounded down rather than up, and counted since Naomi opened the doors in 2015.

- Diploma of Remedial Massage held by every treating therapist
- Association of Massage Therapists (AMT) members on staff
- Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) members on staff

06 · What Maroochydore says
Fifteen reviews.
Naomi pointed at where my shoulders were meant to sit and I genuinely laughed, because she was right. Fortnightly since March and my neck actually turns in the car now.
-
Callum sorted my calf out two days before a half marathon without leaving it feeling flat on the start line. Knows the difference between pre-event and post-event pressure.
-
Priya's set-up with the pillows was the most comfortable I have been lying down in months. She also caught some swelling worth mentioning to my midwife.
